Before establishing East Bay Notary Express, we built professional careers in biomedical science and engineering, bringing more than 25 years of experience in fields where precision, responsibility, and attention to detail are essential.

Sue holds a PhD from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and has worked in biomedical research at leading institutions, including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Hospital for Special Surgery.
Her scientific background has developed a strong appreciation for accuracy, careful procedures, and clear communication.
Sue brings these qualities to her notary and document services, with an emphasis on being approachable, attentive, and respectful of each client’s individual circumstances.
Joe holds a PhD from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and has extensive engineering experience, including work with technology companies such as Marvell, Broadcom, and Seagate.
His engineering background reflects a methodical, detail-oriented approach to professional responsibilities.
Joe brings that experience to notarization appointments and document-handling services, emphasizing organization, dependability, and careful execution of notarial procedures.
Both Sue and Joe are California commissioned Notaries Public, NNA Certified Notary Signing Agents, background screened, bonded, and E&O insured.
We offer more than a single type of notary appointment. Our services support individuals, families, businesses, and professionals with a wide range of document-related needs.
We provide mobile notary services and travel to homes, offices, hospitals, care facilities, and other agreed-upon locations. Evening, weekend, and same-day appointments may be available.
We provide notarial services for estate planning documents, real estate transactions, loan signings, and other documents presented for notarization. We also work with attorneys, title companies, and other professionals to coordinate convenient signing appointments.
We assist with California apostille processing, federal document authentication, and embassy or consular legalization coordination.
For eligible California-issued documents, we can assist clients nationwide with apostille processing without requiring them to travel to Sacramento.
Through professional translation partners, we coordinate certified, notarized, sworn, and apostille-related translation services as available.
Our document courier services also support pickup, delivery, and submission of documents to designated government offices and other destinations.
